- Develop a dictionary of the local
language.
- Compare the grammar of an
Indo-European language to that of a Native Alaskan
language.
- Interview elders about language
differences.
- Discuss the differences: point out
concepts that don't translate from each language to the
other.
- Have the students discuss why it
is easier to talk about certain ideas in
a particular language.
