History of Eskimo Dancing
A long time ago there used to be Eskimo Dancing's until the missionaries came to Alaska and found out that our ancestors dance and the missionaries thought it was an evil thing to do. Eskimo Dancing had quit for a while. Kasigluk started Eskimo Dancing in the 1980's and since then there have been Eskimo Dances in Kasigluk. Around here, students love to Eskimo Dance. Eskimo Dancing is fun because there are some things that make it fun. There's the songs that tell stories and the hand motions are from the songs(stories). Some songs have humor in them but they still tell the story of many adventures. It all deals with nature and mankind.
The following song is about a basketball.
