Pizza

 

Dough

1 pkg. Dry yeast

1 cup warm water (dissolve)

add: 1 tsp. Sugar         

1 tsp. Salt                    

2 tbsp. Salad oil          

2  ½   cups flour             

Stir in, beat

about 20

strokes – let

Set 5 minutes.     

Sauce

8 oz. Can tomato sauce

1 tbsp. Olive oil (necessary)

1 ½ tsp. Oregano – or to suit taste

salt to taste

garlic powder

 

Topping

8 oz. Mozzarella cheese (shredded)

1 can mushrooms with juice

1 onion, chopped

½ lb. Hamburger, fried

        Cook onion, mushrooms and juice together till boiling point. Add fried hamburger and use as topping.

        Grease pans. Roll out crust or spread in pans with hands. Pour sauce on crust, spread with topping and put cheese on top.

        Bake at 400 degrees. Pizza is done when crusts pulled away from pan.

        Makes two pizzas.

Spam Spaghetti

1 can spam

1 can tomato sauce

¼ cup diced onion

1 tbsp. Oil

1 small package long spaghetti

        Fry onions and spam in oil until onion are soft. Add tomato sauce and cook on low while spaghetti as cooking according to package directions.

        Drain spaghetti, mix with sauce and eat.

McMullen Style Chicken Soup

 

Cut one whole chicken into desired sized pieces. Place in pan of hot water and bring to boil.

Add:

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tsp. Curry powder

1 chopped up onion

¼ cup rice

3 stalks celery, chopped

1 large potato, cubed

1 carrot, diced

1 ¼ cup egg noodles or broken spaghetti

          Cook till tender.

Left-over Roast Omelet

3 cups left-over roast or steaks

1 29 oz. Can strewed tomatoes

¼ cup diced onions

2 tbsp. Oil

Salt, pepper and garlic salt

       Fry onions and meat in oil till on ions are tender. Add stewed tomatoes and simmer 5 to 10 minutes.

                        Spoon over omelet.

Curried Chicken

1 Whole chicken with bones, cut into

      Bite-sized pieces

3 or 4 cloves garlic

1 small or medium dried chili pepper

     or fresh chili pepper

1 medium onion

2 pinches of bay leaves or 1 bay leaf

3 slices of ginger root or 2 tsp.

     ground ginger

Shredded fresh coconut (optional). Add

     Water and squeeze juice out of it.

     The juice is what you use.

Salt and pepper to taste

½ of a small can of curry powder

Potatoes and broccoli

  

      Dice potatoes and broccoli and add

to chicken. Put all into pan and boil.

Turn down heat and simmer for 45 minutes.
