In the back of Old Minto there is a trail to a portage.They would use this portage to make there trir to pach shorter.If they didn't use this portage the trip to cache would be very long. When the got thirsty they didn't have pop. they only had to drink water. As soon as they take off in the Canoe they would have a cold cup of water.Now the portage is not being used because there are boats that can bring you to cache and Old Minto.
