In Anchorage with my Dad
On January 8, we were packing for our trip the
next day. We were going to Anchorage to see my dad. That night my mom
went out to Slaviq. Since Jake and I had stayed up late the night
before, we tried to go to sleep at 10:00 p.m. because we were taking
the morning flight to Bethel. But we couldn't sleep so I set my alarm
for 7:55 a.m. and we went to watch t.v.
My mom had to wake Jake and me up at 9:40 a.m.
because we slept through my alarm. My alarm rang for such a long time
that my mom turned it off because she was tired of hearing the
beeping.
After we got up I had breakfast. Then Jake and I
put our suits on with our ski pants over them.
When we got to Bethel it was about 11:00 a.m. Our
flight was at 7:30 p.m., so we were in no hurry. We stayed at
Hageland's for an hour, then we got a ride over to Reeve
Airlines.
While we were waiting for our flight we saw Ben
Peteroff, Tracy Fitka and Paula Shorty. Ben was going to Anchorage,
Paula just got back from Anchorage, and Tracy was just there meeting
people, I guess.
In Anchorage my dad met us at the gate. We ate in
the airport and then called the hotel to come and pick us
up.
The next day we went to the Dimond Center. While
we were there we watched "Titanic" and went shopping a little. Then
we went back to the hotel and stayed there until the next
day.
The next day, my mom went shopping with her
friend, and my dad took Jake and me to the Dimond Center again. This
time we had more fun because the last time we had watched "Titanic" which was
about three and a half hours long and we couldn't do
much.
The next day we got up at 5:00 a.m. and went to
the airport to catch the morning flight at 7:00 a.m. When we got to
Bethel, we waited in the airport again and then came home. It was a
short visit in Anchorage but it was nice to see my dad
again.
