Being A Druggy
My name is Stephanie. One day as I
was walking along the road in Anchorage, I saw a couple of my
friends, Beverly and Sophie. I stopped to talk with them. While we
were talking Beverly asked if I had any money with me, and I told her
that I didn't. Then she asked me, "How much money do you have at
home?" I replied, "Oh, about $95.00. How come? What do you want to do
with money?" And she said, "Uh, I was wondering if you would like to
help us out in getting some weed, if you don't mind?"
After my friend mentioned weed, it
made me think about how to spend my money. Should I spend it on
something useless like drugs, or save it? Should I help my
friends?
Then Sophie said, "So, are you going
to help us get the weed? If you help us you could smoke with us, if
you want to. We know where to get some. We can even get it right now,
just like that." I said, "OK, I'll go to my place and get my money
and then I'll meet you two in about 10 to 15 minutes on main street." So I went
to my place, got my money, and went back to my
friends.
I gave Beverly the money and she told
both me and Sophie to wait for her. While we were waiting Sophie
asked me if I'd ever had drugs before, and I told her that I'd never
touched them and that I didn't know how to do drugs. She then told me
that they would show me how it's done.
When Beverly got back, we went down
to the end of town, and then we started smoking pot. Sophie was the
first to smoke, then Beverly. I was the last because I didn't know
how to smoke pot. After watching them, I tried, and I started
coughing. Then, I panicked and didn't know what to do. They were
telling me not to panic and just to inhale as I lit up my
lighter.
After doing it a few more times, I
got used to smoking the stuff. Later, as I did it more and more I got
hooked on weed. Then after many months, I began to forget little
things from day to day. But even though I tried my best to quit, I
couldn't quit for a long time. Than a half year later, I was in a bad
boating accident from smoking too much, so I quit doing drugs
altogether. Now I feel good not doing drugs anymore. I feel like I'm
back to my old happy life again.
