Moose from an
Airplane
Two years ago, while the Eskimo
dancers (Rose, Nus, J.B., Jackie and Walter) and I were coming back
from Mountain Village. We didn't really expect to see anything on the
way home. But, all of a sudden, the pilot spotted a cow and a bull
moose on the ground. We asked the pilot if we could get a closer
look, so he turned the plane around and flew low to the ground. He
then circled the cow and bull a couple of times to let us get a good
view of it. I was so excited because I never in my life had seen a
moose that close before--only from way up in an airplane. Both cow
and bull moose were in a clearing on the tundra, and it looked like
they were drinking water.
I'd really like to see a moose again,
but up even closer. That day was really exciting for me, seeing a
moose up close in an airplane for the very first time.
