Max Lunt's Hectic
Summer
Max Lunt, the new school principal,
had a very hectic and rushed summer. After he accepted the position
for principal at Marshall from Fairbanks, he flew back to Arizona to
be with his family. Max is originally from Arizona and most of his
brothers and sisters live there. His older brother suffered a stroke
in May and he spent a lot of time helping his hamily and staying with
him. Living in Alaska now, over 3,000 miles away, with his brother in
that condition, Max hopes he'll still see him alive at
Christmas.
Meanwhile, Max's wife, Carol, and
daughter, Natalie, were in the process of moving up to Marshall with
him. So they were busy getting all their affairs in order. Before
leaving they rented the house that they were living in for the past
two years.
Since Max has six children living in
the Phoenix area and one in Nevada he spent part of the summer
enjoying his children and 7 grandchildren.
The middle of July they took off for
Salt Lake City, Utah, as his daughter moved there with her husband
when he was transferred there. He is going to school to be a diesel
mechanic. After visiting family and friends in Utah, at the end of
July Max and his family flew up to Anchorage for a few days before
coming to Marshall.
