Dear Colleague:

Planning is underway for the 36th ANNUAL BILINGUAL MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION/EQUITY CONFERENCE, which will be held April 21-23, 2010, at the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel. The theme for this year's conference is "Culture, Standards and the Art of Education".

At this time, we cordially invite proposals for workshop presentations. We especially seek proposals that include: innovative uses of technology, culturally responsive schooling, differentiated instruction, preparing or retaining rural or indigenous teachers, effective practices teaching content or academic language to English language learners, equity and safe schools, accountability and testing, parent/family/school collaboration, the role of heritage language in the school setting, reading strategies, staff development, student leadership and supplemental services to students. Other topics will be considered!

Please visit http://BMEEC.net for more information and to submit a presentation.
