Oscar's passing
from Alaska Native Knowledge Network - Sunday, 24 April 2011, 09:00 pm

To Friends of Oscar,

At 9:45 Sunday morning, Oscar took his last breath after a long bout with renal cancer which had moved into his lungs and kidneys. Arrangements are underway for his cremation at the Chapel of Chimes in Fairbanks and his ashes will be taken out to the tundra where he grew up in southwest Alaska. At his request, there will be no formal service, but plans are underway for a potluk and gathering of friends in Oscar's honor. An obituary and a notice will be distributed as soon as the details have been worked out.

With a heavy heart . . . . .                    Ray
