If you missed Byron Mallot's reflections on the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) on September 13, 2011 at the UAF Wood Center Ballroom, you can now access the recorded webstream from

Mr. Mallot's presentation is part of the ongoing ANCSA Impact Series, which features several events commemorating the forty years since the passage of ANCSA. The events are being coordinated by the Department of Alaska Native Studies and Rural Development in conjunction with the Office of the Chancellor, UA Office of Academic Affairs / BP Conoco Phillips, and the College of Rural and Community Development.

The next event planned is two days of panel discussions covering the impact that ANCSA has had on Alaska. It will feature honored guests from across Alaska addressing issues from the economic, environmental, social, cultural, and educational impact of ANCSA. The event is scheduled for October 5-6, 2011 from 8:00AM - 5:00PM in the UAF Wood Center Ballroom. Please visit
