The Alaska Office of the Smithsonian’s Arctic Studies Center hosted an Iñupiaq language workshop in January 2011, bringing together fluent speakers for intensive discussions about NMNH and NMAI objects in the Smithsonian exhibition, Living Our Cultures, Sharing Our Heritage: The First Peoples of Alaska at the Anchorage Museum. A short film from the workshop is now available on the NMNH YouTube page. Click here to view:

Additional films are also available. From the NMNH YouTube page select the playlists tab, then select “Living Our Cultures” from the column of options.
