Hands Back, Hands Forward: Sharing Indigenous Intellectual Traditions

Please join us at the international Gathering of People to be held at the First Nations Longhouse, University of Brit- ish Columbia (UBC), on April 11–12, 2012. This conference takes place on the traditional and unceded territory of the Musqueam First Nation. The Indigenous members of the Faculties of Education at the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University are the hosts.

Program Description

Each day individuals will take part in small group discussions to discuss and share their research, and plenary panelists will share their research perspectives. Panelists are members of the Indigenous Peoples of the Pacific (IPP), Indigenous Peoples of the Americas (IPA) Special Interest Groups (SIGs) of AERA, and the Canadian Society for the Study of Indigenous Education (CASIE).
