World Conference on Indigenous Peoples
Registration Open

The United Nations (UN) has opened registration for the World Conference on Indigenous Peoples (WCIP), scheduled for September 22-23, 2014 in New York, NY. The registration deadline is July 23, 2014. For more information, including instructions for registering, see URL below. Registration does not guarantee acceptance to attend, but the UN will notify approved registrants.

Tribes and organizations who have not previously participated in UN meetings will need to create an online profile prior to registration. This may take up to 48 hours for approval. You will see that the registration process does not have a category for tribal governments. Tribal governments may register using the "organization" category by specifying that you are an Indigenous nation or tribal government.
