"The Queen Charlotte Islands Reading Series was originally developed with Special Approval funding obtained through the Queen Charlotte Islands School District (District No. 50.). Bill Roper, Superintendent of Schools, Q.C.I., and Les Bullen, former Q.C.I. superintendent, were responsible for this funding and also for encouraging and fostering the project."
