This attractive book with photos on every page and well researched and well written text by Richard Nelson was commissioned by the University of Alaska Fairbanks Museum to compliment their museum displays of Alaska Natives. It covers all areas of Athabascan culture from historical times up to 1983. It is hoped that there might be an update sometime.This book would be very useful in Native Studies curriculum. A CLASSROOM ACTIVITY GUIDEBOOK accompanies this publication and is available for purchase at the museum store.
