This is the story of a King Island Eskimo man, a hunter, who lost one leg and learned to hunt again. He also learned Whiteman culture and economics. Included in the second half of the book are photographs taken by Father Bernard Hubbard, Jesuit priest, taken on King Island in 1938 and 1939.
