This book is the second in a series of oral biographies published by the University of Alaska Press. This series foruses on individuals whose life experiences and personal accomplishments provide an intimate view of the events, personalities and influences that have shaped Alaska history. Woldo Bodfish, Sr. was asked to share his life story of life on the Arctic Coast. The stories are told on his or her own words based on recordings that have been transcribed, compiled and edited and the attempt is made to preserve the narrator's speaking style.
