This attractive booklet states the historical land use and occupancy of Cross Island by the Inupiat people of Alaska's North Slope carefully documenting the centuries long association between the people and Cross Island. Concern was that industry;'s development would injure the land and sea and thus the Inupiat. This publication could well be used by other communities wishing to design a land-use statement and for possible school assignments.
