This book is the first in a series that Canadian Arctic Producers, the marketing agency for Inuit art and crafts from the NWT, on their shareholders communities and on the artists who live and work in these communities. The original intention of the book was to familiarize those interested in Inuit art with the artist themselves. This is a collection of statements about the community, about life in the past, about change, about art, and about some of the issues that are of concern to them now and in the future. There are many photographs of the artists and their creations. The text is in English and Inuktitut sylabbics.
