Well known Canadian Author , Farley Mowat, passionately indicts the Canadian government and the multinational corporations' greed and lethargy that have steered the North toward a possibly irreversible ecological disaster. In l976 he writes " Close to ninety percent of all Canadian northern resources so far discovered are already owned directly or indirectly by foreign companies.
