On April 13, 1973 27 families from Barrow began a historic 150 mile trek from Barrow to the Colville River. These were families who wanted to return to a more traditional Inupiaq way of living and so the old village of Nuiqsut was reborn. This is a beautiful paperbound book with many maps and graphs of traditional land and water usages including photographs and drawings.
