This study attempted to assess the impact of Public Land Orders on the village of Barrow, Alaska. It contains solid documentation of the needs of Barrow for community development and the return of traditional cemetaries and grave-sites to local ownership and the relocation of the U.S. Weather Service complex. This study could be used as a model for other communities with similiar situations. UTQIAGVIKSRAIGUTIRUQ is the Inupiaq title.
