Very Useful
Book
American and Canadian Indian- Eastern Maine and the Maritimes
Referenced by: Alaska Yukon Library

Grade Level(s): 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11

Theme(s): Tribe/Community, Family

The Passamauqoddies, Maliseets and Micmacs are shown here in fine black and white photographs and honest text. This book could well be used as a model for community-based research by students. Indian reviewers call it the first book which truly presents the way of life, the real problems and the hopes for the future of the Indians in eastern Maine and the Canadian Maritimes. Highly recommended.
