Pulling Together describes the way individuals in a community can help organize people to accomplish similar difficult tasks that they, as individuals and families could not accomplish alone. As you read, it's helpful to keep the whale hunt in mind because it portrays a prime example of community organization, and represents the traditional. Native way of achieving a very difficult goal for the community by sharing the work.
