"This report focuses on the impact that ANCSA has had, especially at the village level. The report gives an historical summary of land ownership in Alaska up to the Act. It also highlights pertinent provisions of the Act and identifies entities created by ANCSA, and characterizes the formation of Alaska Native village governments. The report gives the Commission's findings and recommendations. It has two appendices, one a report by the Alaska Native Foundation on the future prospects for Native control of their lands, and one a report of the interviews from a field visit to Alaska."1
