"The purpose of this report is to show that the Kuingnerrarmuit Yugtaat Elitnaurarkait Program in Quinhagak will successfully meet L.K.S.D. requirements and the Alaska 2000 State Performance Standards for students taking courses in Ecology, Biology, and Physical Education. The Kuingnerrarmuit Yugtaat Elitnaurarkait (KYE) in intended to use traditional Yup'ik methods of teaching and learning to assist students in acquiring an understanding of their environment through a cultural perspective. Students' understanding of their environment will not be merely theoretical, but practical in terms of life skills which have been handed down in Yup'ik culture..."
