Excerpt:

"A lot of people will say that I'm not a Christian because I never went to church. But they don't know how much I understand, and how much I try to understand. I've lived a pretty tough life. A tough life is what you get on the table. This may sound ridiculous to some, but there were times when I had to eat bait off traps just to survive. A lot of times I had nothing and I depended on my prayer to get something for my kids. I didn't get it from some other people.
"...Right now you're reading what I'm saying. That's not enough. Do you understand what I'm saying? You have to really hear what I mean. The thing is this. In my life, I'm not a mechanic. I'm not a preacher. I never went to college. I'm nothing. Absolutely. Know that. I can't even read this Bible. Yet I understand every word that it says."
-Peter John
