Excerpt:

"During the fall of 1981 the 8th grade class of Barrow High School began a project to research the history of Barrow. We began by brainstorming places and things we could ask the people of Barrow. We interviewed some of the elderly people of Barrow and devised a timeline on which we could out down dates of important events.
"After this we pulled together all the information we collected and found pictures to go along with the interviews and stories. We have put together this book for you about the history of Barrow."
