"This book deals with the Yup'ik Eskimo language spoken in the area of western Alaska bounded by St. Michael to the north, by Naknek or Egegik to the south, and including the villages along the Nushagak River, the lower parts of the Kuskokwim and Yukon Rivers and the coast and tundra between these rivers....
