Excerpt:
"This report is a preliminary description of the English dialect spoken by Inupiaq Eskimos in Northwest Alaska and some of the factors that influence its usage today. This issue is a very complex one that has ramifications for most residents of the Northwest region, and one that is best illustrated by discussing the dialect per se only after an introduction to attitudes and perceptions about this dialect; the reasons for this will clear later in the report."
