Excerpt:
"Local resource utilization by residents of Nenana, Alaska takes place in the context of a mixed cash-subsistence economy by individuals from different cultural backgrounds. The patterns and extent of resource use have never been documented, although land and resource development in the area is being considered by various state agencies and corporate landowners. This study will document present and traditional land usage by Nenana residents. It will provide detailed information on locally significant resources, including harvest methods and the location of use areas. Resource user groups and their characteristics will also be identified."
