"In a guide published this spring by the Social Science Consortium and the ERIC Clearinghouse for Social Studies/Social Science Education, 70 games were selected for detailed analysis. This number is clearly just the tip of the iceberg: the book's 'abbreviated games and simulations guide' lists 261 games and elsewhere under 'directories and bibliographies' (one of the latter running to 286 pages) there is a reference to some 600 games now available. If this flood of materials and literature is any indication, the Age of Games is surely upon us."
