Detailed Description
Children will draw sled dogs and accessories. They will list names of things used for sledding.
1. Find a person who has dogs for work or racing. Ask about dog sledding.
2. List all the names of things used for dog sledding.
3. Classify list of items into categories.
4. Draw pictures of dogs and sleds.
5. Go to a winter carnival as class group and observe a dog race.
6. Introduce other races that take place in the state.
The children will comprehend vocabularies used in dog sledding and races.
