The students will demonstrate knowledge of various dog sled parts and their uses visually, orally and auditorily with 80% accuracy.

Detailed Description
Students discussion regarding purpose of sleds, make characteristics, importance of as well as written assignments and reports. Homework assignments and testing will be provided.
Introduce sled parts orally
1. The students will go on a field trips to people who have sleds and dog team and interveiw them about specific sled and their traditional uses.
2. The students will practice pronunciation of words of different parts of sled in Yup'ik and English
3. The students will learn to write the names of parts of a sled both in English and Yup'ik
4. The students will gather information about and write reports on the variety of sleds and explain usage.
5. K-6 draw picture of sled and name each parts. 3rd-6th can write short summaries of traditional uses of variety of sleds.
6.Assign home work where students ask parents or elders.
7. Compile a word list
