Detailed Description
Procedures: Discuss on how to make smoke houses, caches, hanging racks for fish, also how the houses and tents are set up, how fish are prepared and preserved for use during winter for families, and for dogs. Students compile a word list. Write summaries of how and why people live in fish camps, during the summer. Also, learn the kind of wood to use to smoke fish. Preparation of stink heads, eggs, or salmon roe, kippered fish and salt fish.

Description of Activities: Students will make murals or other drawings of their fish camps. I research on traditional and modern fish camps. Students will write reports on fish camps. Students master the vocabulary associated with fish camps
