Detailed Description
Students are allowed 10 days to hunt in a school year with an excused absence. They need to keep a daily journal and the adult in the hunting party fills in a progress report after returning from the trip. The progress report consists of safety techniques, identifying tracks, setting up the camp. etc.... The most important plan of this trip is for the students to communicate with the hunting party in the Yup'ik language, be able to predict weather, bring proper equipment, survival skills, set up camp , and can field dress game.
