The students will learn about the historical uses of the masks. They were made to honor the animal that gave itself to the hunter. The masks were used to summon the game before the hunt. The shaman used the masks to perform healing and rituals.

The students will create a mask to honor the animal they caught recently. They can perform to an audience and dance using the masks.
