My Black Bear Story by Sophie Ann Moore

sunI am a female black bear named Sue. I am about a year old and I live along the Yukon River near Mountain Village. Just yesterday my mom taught me how to climb trees if danger happens to appear. So I had to climb about 20 trees just to get what she was telling me. I got very mad at her. After that I was so sore that I fell down and took a nap.

That night while I was sleeping I heard a tree falling. I woke up looking insane. Then I started running around looking for my mother."MOM," I hollered. The she looked at me with crossed eyes and a big lump on her head. She looked so funny that I really had trouble holding my laugh. But all of a sudden 1 burst out laughing with tears so hard that I peeed on my hind paws and fell on the ground laughing. After that she just a attacked me and gave me a big. After two hours of my ears ringing from my mother's whopping we both fell asleep near a thick tree, hoping it wouldn't fall on us.

Well, two years have passed and now I am three years old and on my own living happily after ever.
