One time when Willie, Richard, Joey and I went over to Wilson Creek to go fishing, we saw a Brown bear on the other side of the slough where we were fishing. Willie and my brother were scared when they saw it. Then when Joey looked up, he saw it looking at us. It was chocolate and creamy colored. As we started our engines, the bear just stayed there watching us and didn't move. And when we went around the corner we saw it still walking slowly.

After we went back to Marshall we told my Upa, and then he I and a couple other people went to look for the bear. But we didn't see it when we went up to look for it. Then a little while later we looked further up the creek to check if it was on the bank anywhere. But we didn't see it again so we went home.
