There once was a bee named Buzz who used to work for a mean old bossy Queen named Ezmerelda. Every day Buzz and other bees would always have to go out and find pollen and bring it to the nest and make honey for her. One day while Buzz and a couple of other bees were flying around a junk yard they found an abandoned beehive in an old crate by an old busted up shack. So Buzz told the bees to stay and guard the hive until he got back from the other hive where Queen Ezmerelda lived.

A few minutes passed by, and finally Buzz came back. When Buzz reached the hive he had a smile on his face. He told the other bees that they could move in if they wanted to. A couple hours later the bees had every thing they owned in their new hive. But they just sat around and did nothing. Only once in awhile would they go out and get some pollen and put it in their hive and make honey. Then they would sit around and do nothing for the rest of the day. But one day when Buzz was flying around town he saw this store called The Bee Business. He flew in and came out with a color T.V.which he brought it to the hive and turned on. But since all they got was one channel Buzz turned it off and said," Let's go out and get more pollen so we can have honey for the winter." So all the bees flew out the door and flew around a big bunch of flowers.

Meanwhile, at the Queen's hive she did a head count and she found that some of her worker bees were missing. So she called out her guard bees and posted a wanted poster for them.

Back at Buzz's hive they were just unloading their pollen and putting it in their storage room for the winter. As Buzz was passing an electric pole he saw the wanted poster for him and his friends. So he hurried back to his hive and told his buddies what he saw. One of the bees asked what they were going to do? Buzz said, "Let's go in the shack and find something to block the door so the other bees won't get us." So they all flew into the shack and found an old cover from a soup can. They put holes in one side of it and they put wires in it for hinges and a lock on it. Then they found a little box of pins which they put all over the hive. When they were done their hive looked like a fortress. They used a nail to lock their door and then they relaxed for the rest of the day.

The next day they built themselves a secret back room. If Queen Ezmerelda's guard bees found them and broke in, they wouldn't find them in the hive. After they were done they went out and found themselves some armor so that if Queen Ezmerelda's bees caught them outside their hive they wouldn't kill them. They found all kinds of scraps from tin cans and they brought them to their hive and put them together and made suits of armor. After they were done they put them in their secret room. Then they dug a tunnel from their secret room to the outdoors. When they reached outdoors they put a light patch of mud over the door so they could break it quickly and get away.

Meanwhile back at the Queen's hive she ordered her bees out to look for the others and bring them back alive. The first day they didn't succeed because, at Buzz's hive the bees were eating and resting. At Ezmerelda's hive she was so mad she yelled at her bees! And the next day they found Buzz and his friends. The Queen was real happy that they found them but when they told her that their hive was covered with pins and they couldn't

get in the door she got mad at her bees again and told them in to get them any way they could. The bees tried their best but when they came back they had cuts and bruises all over their bodies from trying to knock down the door. Finally, Queen Ezmerelda told them to quit and let the bees go free because all of her bees were getting injured trying to get in Buzz's new hive.

When Buzz and his friends heard they were free they celebrated all night.
