The Old Woman by Darlene Fitka:Once there was an old woman who lived on an island. The woman's name was Cecilia. All the young men in the village tried to hunt for food for her because she seemed like she was going to die any day. One day though, Cecilia decided to take a walk along the shore. While she was walking, she kept seeing an eagle circling her. All of a sudden the eagle bumped into her and they both fell to the ground. When she got up to brush the sand off herself, she noticed that she was standing right in front of someone that looked exactly like her. And when she looked at herself, she found she wasn't herself. She was an eagle!!! Cecilia was so shocked at what she saw, she fainted. Then the other Cecilia picked her up and brought her home. At the new Cecilia's house, she put a cold rag on the new eagle's beak. Right away the eagle woke up. After a while the two of them talked together for a long time. In this way they got to know each other. Soon they became good friends and the eagle and the woman lived together for the rest of their lives.
