THE BEAR WHO NEVER LEARNED HIS LESSON

THE BEAR WHO NEVER
LEARNED HIS LESSON

THE BEAR WHO NEVER LEARNED HIS LESSON

One spring many years ago there lived a mean old Brown bear out in the dark trees of a faraway forest. His name was Old Man, and he loved to lie around on the ground and do nothing unless something bothered him. One night Old Man heard something in the trees, so he went out to look for it. What he found were a couple of bear hunters who were getting their camping gear ready so they could go to sleep for the night. Old Man stayed around for awhile because he smelled food in their grub boxes. Before he could get the grub boxes though he heard one of the men getting out of bed, and he ran back to his cave. He decided to go back the next day and when he went over to their tents to check if they were in there, he found they were still sleeping. So he quickly ran over to their food boxes and tried to open them. But he made their table fall, and he got so scared he ran back to his cave.

During the night when he saw the men's fire he went back to the camp. When he went over to check for their food, he came and to close the men saw him and shot at him. They missed, but Old Man never went back to their camping place ever again.
