Poor Fishing with Boo Boo

"After school was out I started to help Alvin Owletuck Jr. with his fishing net. Then during fishing season we went over near the sandbar to try our luck. Fishing wasn't very good, though, and we didn't get many fish. So I didn't get paid as much as last year.

Also this summer I got to go over to the sand bar to swim and do some other things. One time when we were on the other side of the sand bar swimming we saw some cranes. At first they looked like a pack of wolves standing in the sand, so all the guys with boats went to check them out. But when they got up close the cranes flew away. When the guys came back they said that they were just cranes.

I also got to stay up late because there was no curfew this summer. It was cool because everyone was telling weird jokes and teasing each other till early in the morning.

I had a pretty good summer, but the fishing part of it was no good because we didn't get as many fish as we did last year."
