One Rainy Summer!

"This summer I cut some fish for my winter use. After the fish were all cut, I smoked and freezed them. When they were all put away, I picked salmon berries and blueberries. Then later we went camping to Kuyakutaq. But we had to move to some kind of slough because the wind was so strong on the river that it blew away our tent. We had fun even though it was windy and cold. We played rummy with partners. Rose and I were partners, and Ruth and Daisy and Frank and Fabe were the others. We played until late at night while the little kids ran around outside playing hide n' seek and the older kids listened to music and sang along in Fabe's tent. On the third night, we went home and along the way we picked some berries.

Most of the rest of summer I picked berries, went on boat rides, and brought the kids over to the sandbar to swim. We didn't get to go camping much this year because it rained so much, which kind of spoiled our summer."
