A Lot of Work and Play

"After school got out, Abus and I painted all four walls on the Yupik building. After that, I finished painting the roof top on the house where Richard and Janice Olsen are living. When I got done with painting I helped Nick Duny and Abus hook the water and sewer line up to Annie Hunter's house. Next I worked with Nick and Abus as they leveled the gym entrance porch. Last but not least, Abus and I painted both front porches at the end of the school hallway.

I also did things with my family this summer, like take my son Victor, his girlfriend Rena and a couple of my girls rod and reeling for some pike over at the mouth of Nuksuk. We caught a few pikes there. A couple of times I also went out berry picking with my wife and two girls to Five Day Slough where we picked a mixture of about three gallons of salmon and blue berries. During the month of July I took my wife and girls with me when I went down to Mountain Village to pick up some lumber for the school. I also went out commercial fishing, and did much better than last year because the price of the fish was much higher."
