A Good Time at Pilot

"During the second week of August, just before school started, Garrett, Anthony Nick Jr., Kim and I went down to Pilot Station to attend a teen dance that was being held there. Ameri Corps was sponsoring the dance, and they invited Earl Polk III to DJ it.

On the first night we all hung out and waited till the dance hall opened. It started at around 10:00 p.m. When we went in the Dome, where the dance was being held, there were very few people there and we didn't think that it was going to be very much fun. As time went by, though, the Dome slowly filled up. By about 1:00 a.m. it was full of people who came from up and down the river. During almost every song that the DJ played the floor was full.

The DJ also set up games, like he always does, to make the night more interesting. Kimberly won one of the games and got a cash prize. The people who participated in the games made the competition more fun. It took some time away from the dancing, but it gave us enough time to cool off and enjoy the games that had been set up.

The second night was the same as the first night, a lot of fun. There were more games to play, including the Limbo. I was having a lot of fun. When the dance quit at about 4:00 a.m., we walked around till about 8:00 a.m.

The next day, we came home and had to catch up on our sleep. Both days were lots of fun. I really enjoyed being there for those two nights and having a great time. I hope they have it again next year."
