A Busy Summer Indeed by Palassa Fitka:A Busy Summer Indeed "This summer was a busy one indeed. I picked a lot of berries, did some subsistence hunting and fishing to put away meat and fish for the winter, and I also cut a lot of fish. It was hard because some days I'd have to cut fish without a reliable babysitter, and I had to do it alone without any help. In the past, my sister Sophie used to help me, but this year she cut her own fish at my uncle's fish house. I also went out on a few boat rides, but they were a little too short and not worth the ride. The reason was because Leo was working two jobs and he was always too tired to do anything. He also got off too late in the evening to help me much. Well, that was basically my summer vacation, except for spending sometime with my oldest son Christopher who came up from San Diego for the fourth of July celebration. It was good to see him again."
