Scott's First Muskrat

My summer started about a week after school ended. We went spring camping with Camille Boliver where he goes camping every year. While we were setting up the tents Aaron saw a beaver and he wanted to hunt it but Roy told him that we would have time to hunt animals later on that evening.

After we finished with the tents Willie Paul, Long and I set up a cheap little basketball hoop to kill some time. When we got it up it was time to take a ride, so Willie Paul, Gerlyn, Aaron, Richard, Scott and I jumped in our boat and went fishing about five miles away from camp. After fishing for about an hour I finally caught a fish.

Later on that night while we were slowly heading back to the camp we saw a muskrat and I told Scott to shoot it with his .410. So he did, and that was Scott's first muskrat of the trip. All the way back to camp Scott was smiling away.

The next morning we skinned our catch because the night before it was too dark to work on animals, and we just went to bed. Then the next day we decided that we should come home.

When we got home I started my job at M.F.P as a fish loader and laborer at the dock. The people who were working there were me, Nathan Evan, James Oney, Paul Coffee and John Tikiun Jr. After that job was over I started playing basketball and going swimming.

On the 4th of July I was water skiing in front of Marshall while they were having a BBQ outside the community hall. Then after Chris came home we went to Russian Mission to play ball and we lost by 1 point. We also went to Kwik and fished. Chris caught a big pike and he got a picture of himself holding it so he could show it to his Marine friends.

Then to finish off my summer I went to St. Marys for the fiddling festival that was held there, and we had fun!!!
