Mary Fitka's Ordinary Summer by Mary Fitka:Mary Fitka's Ordinary Summer
This summer Mary did a lot of fish cutting. She cut a lot of King salmon and Chums. Although the weather was too hot for Mary at her age, she still managed to cut fish. She also went out camping at Atchuelinguk for three days where she picked berries. She went out berry picking by the bluffs too, where she picked blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and some salmon berries. She accompanied her family on a lot of boat rides to many different places like Pilot Station, St. Mary's and Devil's Elbow--just nonstop boating. Nothing out of the ordinary happened to her this summer. It was about the same as it's always been. By: Mary Fitka ![]() | |
